The SoniControl prototype for the detection of secret ultrasonic communication is ready! In the last days we intensively worked on its finalization. The prototype runs in real-time and is able to detect different ultrasonic transmission protocols reliably. To test the detector, we encoded the text string “Netidee Rocks” by ultrasound and sent it through the air (see the image above for how the ultrasonic code looks like). It was detected immediately and precisely by our detector! Now we are going for its implementation in Android.. We will keep you updated!
